D.I.Y. All Natural “Windex”

A few months back, A and I moved into our first home and it was magical. Well, for us it was anyways. For some I guess you could say it was an absolute nightmare. Our house was very affordable because, to put it lightly, it had never been cleaned. The house isn’t terribly old, built in 1995, but it literally looked like it had never been cleaned. It also had a puke green kitchen, some holes in the wall and moldy laminate floors, but we’ll get to that later. Anyways, one of the first things I wanted to do was…

D.I.Y. Your Own Recycling Station

When it comes to recycling, I can be a bit of a control freak. Like yelling at strangers in public to pick up their recyclables kind of control freak….it is seriously bad. I don’t know, I just can’t just handle the fact that people are too lazy to do one little thing that takes two seconds, when the impacts are so serious. Rose Petal Bath Bombs D.I.Y.

There is nothing I love more than receiving a surprise bouquet of roses. It is sweet, thoughtful, and it makes the house smell great and feel amazingly homey. The only problem is that I can be a seriously nostalgic person, and parting with said flowers once they’ve reached their expiration date can leave me feeling blue. Not to mention I have a total phobia of wasting anything so I get way bummed composting flowers. That is why this year I decided to find a way to utilize my Valentine’s Day flowers as much as possible. I will be posting this…

Minimalistic Flower Bucket D.I.Y.

My biggest obsession 90% of the time is how soon I can go to Goodwill, what I can buy from Goodwill, maybe I could get that at Goodwill. Not only does thrift shopping same your exorbitant amounts of money, it always helps you find some cool treasures that you never expected to find or find unique items that you can D.I.Y. into something else. Today’s post is the latter.  I found the most ridiculous (and heinous) snowman themed Christmas bucket a few months back (in March) and brought it home. Needless to say, A was a little confused at why…

D.I.Y. Travel Fund Jar with Custom Stickers from Sticker App

I remember when I was a kid and I could not wait to be an adult because it meant being able to buy whatever I wanted and eating ice cream for breakfast. Then I became an adult and I realized that it really means tax returns, loan applications, escrow and other awful things, which is significantly less fun. The main thing that upsets me about not having the funds we want, is that we don’t get to travel nearly as much as we want to, but we are trying to change that and make it a top priority starting with…
