D.I.Y. All Natural // Toothpaste (Dentist Approved!)

Hello Peeps! A few weeks back we were chatting about our new series: D.I.Y. All Natural where I shared our recipe for D.I.Y. Windex. Originally when I came up with the idea of doing a series based on all natural D.I.Y.’s I was thinking it would be for cleaning products exclusively. But, the funny thing about looking at ingredients labels, is that one you start it is hard to stop. I have been obsessed with finding out what is in our mouthwash, toothpaste, deodorant etc. Let me tell ya, the facts are not great. While brushing your teeth is obviously…

Copycat West Elm Oil & Vinegar Bottle

So you guys know me, I am a cheap lady. I call it being “fiscally responsible” but really all that means is that we just bought a house and a dog, and another cat and we are going to Europe in October so we need to find ways to save money. D.I.Y. All Natural // Windex

A few months back, A and I moved into our first home and it was magical. Well, for us it was anyways. For some I guess you could say it was an absolute nightmare. It also had a puke green kitchen, grease soak cabinets, some holes in the wall and moldy laminate floors, but we’ll get to…

D.I.Y. Your Own Recycling Station

When it comes to recycling, I can be a bit of a control freak. Like yelling at strangers in public to pick up their recyclables kind of control freak….it is seriously bad. I don’t know, I just can’t just handle the fact that people are too lazy to do one little thing that takes two seconds, when the impacts are so serious. I am however, a little more lenient in my understanding of why people fail to recycle complicated things such as light bulbs and ink cartridges. Now I am by no means saying that recycling those items is not…

Rose Petal Bath Bombs D.I.Y.

There is nothing I love more than receiving a surprise bouquet of roses. It is sweet, thoughtful, and it makes the house smell great and feel amazingly homey. The only problem is that I can be a seriously nostalgic person, and parting with said flowers once they’ve reached their expiration date can leave me feeling blue. Not to mention I have a total phobia of wasting anything so I get way bummed composting flowers. That is why this year I decided to find a way to utilize my Valentine’s Day flowers as much as possible. I will be posting this…
