Everyone talks about the typical college experience: solo cups, toga parties, all night study sessions, eating couch pizza… you get the drill. The only thing different for me in college was that I attended art school. So…basically there were zero wild frat parties and 100% staying up all night sewing parties. While that life felt insane and stressful at the time, I am so glad that I did it because it helped me meet some really cool people, like my friend Tony. Tony was not only going to school full time like everyone else in our class, he was also the only other person I knew who was working while attending school. Tony worked as freelancer for Betabrand and continued to work there after our graduation.
Betabrand is an awesome company that takes crowdsourcing into the fashion world. The designers come up with their brilliant ideas and then post them onto their webpage where you can vote on which designs should be created and made for sale. Their “dress pant yoga pants” have been featured in Glamour and on ABC news because of their amazingly comfortable designs. But, even with pants this amazing, does anyone else seem to struggle to find pants that fit properly? Maybe I am just bad at knowing my proper sizes, but I get frustrated with the whole “hourglass”, “pear” debacle.
Lucky for me, Betabrand understood this struggle too, so they created a much more detailed and realistic chart to help figure out your figure! They even include what pants you should buy from their collection to properly accentuate your figure.
Side note: did I mention how amazing Betabrand is in regards to sustainability and charity work? Betabrand often uses organic materials, promotes reusable bags, and dyes its fabrics using natural dyes. They are also charity minded and have featured sales to benefit earthquake victims. In short, they are a pretty dang awesome brand, and one that I feel proud to shop from. 🙂
F.Y.I. these windowpane check pants are my personal favorite and I am currently obsessed with them.
