New Favorite Thing // Instax Mini Album

New Favorite Thing // Instax Mini Album

I have been trying to shake things up here a little bit on the blog by adding in a few new mini series. This post is the first of many in my latest brain child I like to call “New Favorite Thing”. The title pays homage to a joke A continually makes because apparently lots of things are my “favorite” things. Every month I will be choosing a purchase from that month to deem my new favorite thing and highlight the benefits of said purchase. I do not purchase new stuff frequently so monthly installments seem perfect for sharing with you guys 🙂

This month’s new favorite thing is this tiny little photo album I found on Amazon for my Fuji Instax Mini polaroids (or as I like to call it, my toy camera). I like to pack my pink mini camera in any bag that is coming to a party, festival or camping trip with me so I can guarantee documentation of the fun times ahead. I love the instant gratification of a photo that you can hold in your hands seconds after it is created. I love the immediacy of it, in combination with the slowest 30 seconds of my life I spend staring at the photo while it develops – naturally while singing “shake it like a polaroid picture” in my head.

I just put together my photo album and I could not be happier to have a book of my most joyous memories available at my fingertips. Also, from an ecological standpoint, this book uses way fewer materials than a full size photo album (another reason I love the tiny film versus large 5×7 photos). I like knowing that we can preserve our memories in a physical form, without wasting a ton of plastic and materials!

Shop it on Amazon: Photo Album
Price: $7.20

Super cute! I’ve strung most of my Instax on my wall, but this is a good option for the leftovers. 😉

How cute. Sounds like a great little camera. I would love to have a picture taken on one of those just because they look so fun & playful. :]

So cute – and cheap! I usually stick mine into a larger scrapbook, but I love the idea of spotlighting them in a little album for themselves!

Yes! They are tiny and happy on the shelf 🙂

These are so cute! I want to start a scrapbook so it gives me a reason to actually print off photos. Otherwise they just stay on my phone and eventually get forgotten.

Hi Zorica! In terms of the Fujifilm Instax Mini, I don’t have a ton of advice other than buy more film than you think you need! The camera is super easy to use and I have had zero technically difficulties. It is one of my all time favorite purchases and I go through the film like crazy 🙂
