Spring Cleaning in Style with Thred Up

As you all know, Goodwill is my best friend in the whole wide world and most of my clothes are either from my office sample sale, a friend’s goodwill pile or a thrift store/flea market. Purchasing pre-owned clothing is amazing for the world in so many ways – from nixing your carbon footprint, to not creating any chemical waste, preventing the risk of employing sweatshop workers,  to employing many new jobs through Goodwill facilities. With that being said, I do understand that a lot of people aren’t down with sifting through some potentially nasty, pre-used clothes, but that is where ThredUP comes in. ThredUP is an ingenious company for two reasons: a) It is a wonderful online thrift store where you can buy like-new, refurbished clothing  and b) It is the perfect place to go if you have a closet full of well-maintained clothes that you don’t intend to wear! I have both sold and bought on thredUP and both times were an amazing experience.

In the spirit of springtime and spring cleaning, ThredUP is the perfect company to have on your mind! Whether you are looking for some new fresh duds for the warmer weather, or you are simply just trying to declutter your closet, ThredUP is your one stop shop! Need a tip on where to start when cleaning out your closet? Do what my mom taught me and take all of your clothes out from all of your drawers/closet and separate them into piles marked: Sell (Earn some extra coin through ThredUP), Toss (For anything that is completely beyond repair destroyed), Donate (for brands that ThredUP doesn’t sell), and Project (for items that need to have a button sewn on or need to be dry cleaned). My mom had me do this every spring and it was always so helpful to compartmentalize my wardrobe! Good luck everyone 🙂

Leopard Outfit: Cardigan (ThredUP, shop cardigans here), Velvet Dress (Thrift, similar here), Bag (Urban Expressions), Belt (ThredUP, shop belts here), Boots (Very Volatile)
Printed Trouser Outfit: Pants (ThredUP, similar here), Tee Shirt (Wilfred Free), Jacket (Abercrombie, embroidered version here), Heels (Audrey Brooke), Bag (Urban Expressions), Sunnies (Firmoo)
